MARIA ISABELLA ROJAS
Maria Isabella Rojas is a Queens-based producer, writer, and performer with a focus on new theatrical works. She is currently the Co-founder and Artistic Director of The Company We Keep Theatre Productions, where she has starred in and produced Nick Payne’s Off-Off Broadway Production of Constellations. She has performed in and developed work at Atlantic Theater, New Dramatists, Latinx Playwright Circle, and Peculiar Works. Production credits such as: Aztec Pirates and The Insignificance of Life on Mars at The Chain, and HOLA nominated production of Constellations; and workshops of new plays by Nandita Shenoy, Juan Ramirez Jr., David Davila, and others. She has served as Executive Producer for Lone Star Media and is Co-founder and COO of MARLEX Films, which produced three short films: Xtra Dirty, Let Me Down, Don’t Put Me on Hold, Please.
SORAYA SUSSMAN
Soraya Sussman is a theatre and film producer, and writer based in Queens, NY. She is Co-founder and CEO of MARLEX Films, LLC. which produced three short films: Xtra Dirty, Let Me Down, Don’t Put Me on Hold, Pleas. Also in 2019, she co-wrote Stygian Fields, a full-length film script, currently in pre-production developmental stage. In 2023, she Co-founded a Queens based theatre production company, The Company We Keep Theatre Productions, (TCWKTP) which is run by an all-Latina Collective. In 2024, TCWKTP produced the Off-Off Broadway play “Constellations” by Nick Payne at the Chain Theatre in NYC, which was nominated at the 2024 HOLA award for “Outstanding Achievement in Theatrical Design”. Currently, she is developing an original play to present as a stage industry reading in Queens, NY in 2025 and on stage in 2026.
ALEXIS SUSSMAN
Alexis Sussman is a film and theater associate producer. In 2019, she Co-founded MARLEX Films, LLC. which produced three short films: Xtra Dirty, Let Me Down, Don’t Put Me on Hold, Please. In 2023, she Co-founded a Queens based theatre production company called The Company We Keep Theatre Productions, (TCWKTP) which is run by an all-Latina Collective. In 2024, she worked as associate producer on the TCWKTP of the Off-Off Broadway play “Constellations” by Nick Payne at the Chain Theatre in NYC, which was nominated at the 2024 HOLA award for “Outstanding Achievement in Theatrical Design”. She is currently working on co-producing a full-length feature “Stygian Fields”. Currently, she is pursuing a career in entertainment law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in Law in Spring 2025.
